Are we in an AI Bubble?

2nd December 2025

There has been a lot of discussion lately about whether we are in an “AI Bubble”. If we are, where exactly is it, and how can we stop it from going “pop”?

R.I.P. 10% Contingency: Why Arbitrary Contingency is a Risky Business

13th November 2025

Let’s be honest, we’ve all been there. You’ve painstakingly crafted your project budget, item by item, only to be told, “Great! Now just add 10% for contingency.”

Why 10%?

“Because that’s what we always do.”

“It feels about right.”

“Just in case.”

Are we ready for quantum computing?

Quantum at Scale Will Reshape Data Centre Design — And It’s Time to Blend Nuclear Fusion-Grade Skills With Cloud-Scale Know‑How

For a decade, quantum computing has been the domain of labs and glossy roadmaps. That’s changing. The last two years delivered real progress in error suppression and reliable logical qubits, plus government deadlines to migrate to post‑quantum cryptography (PQC). Meanwhile, the AI boom should be a wake‑up call: the data centre industry was caught flat‑footed by the speed at which high‑density racks forced liquid cooling into mainstream design. Quantum facility needs are even more specialised. The talent and standards we develop in the next 24 months will decide who deploys quantum at scale — and who doesn’t.
